This year we have at least 20 people and it could go up to 33, although that remains unlikely. I am fairly confident having cooked for 19 two years ago and I am hoping that it won\u2019t test my mantra that Christmas dinner for 20 people is just a big roast.<\/p>\n<p>So what does our Christmas lunch consist of:<\/p>\n<p>Tomato Soup, Cream and Croutons<\/p>\n<p>Roast Turkey with 2 or 3 Stuffings \u2013 Sausage meat and apricot, Chestnut and Lemon and Herb<\/p>\n<p>Roast Ham (someone else is doing this)<\/p>\n<p>Giblet gravy<\/p>\n<p>Roast potatoes<\/p>\n<p>Petit pois a la Francais<\/p>\n<p>Roast Parsnips<\/p>\n<p>Brussels Sprouts<\/p>\n<p>Bread Sauce<\/p>\n<p>Cranberry Sauce<\/p>\n<p>Carrots<\/p>\n<p>Savoy Cabbage<\/p>\n<p>Sausage wrapped in bacon<\/p>\n<p>Christmas Pudding (bought) with silver charms in it<\/p>\n<p>Brandy Butter<\/p>\n<p>Fresh Cream<\/p>\n<p>Cheese \u2013 Vacherin, Cremier, Berkswell, Gruyere, Stilton, Goats Cheese (tbd)<\/p>\n<p>Biscuits \u2013oatcakes, water biscuits<\/p>\n<p>Chocolates \u2013 Artisan du Chocolate Salted Caramel balls<\/p>\n<p>Coffee<\/p>\n<p>Nuts<\/p>\n<p>Fruit \u2013 Satsumas, Clementines, Lychees, Grapes, Cherries, Pears, Apples<\/p>\n<p>Christmas Crackers<\/p>\n<p>Party poppers<\/p>\n<p>I ordered our turkey yesterday \u2013 it is a 20 pounder, hopefully that will cover everybody and leave enough for the all important sandwiches in the evening and for boxing day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the next few weeks I will be posting on my preparations for Christmas lunch.
