My favourite restaurants

High End

J Sheekey  – the best and classiest fish restaurant in London www.jsheekey.co.uk

Marcus Waring – still at the forefront of delivery Michelin starred food that tastes brilliant and doesn’t just rely on technology http://www.marcus-wareing.com/home

Chez Bruce – The best restaurant not in central London, amazing simple and creative menus at a great price http://www.chezbruce.co.uk/

River Cafe – Brilliant ingredients, simply cooked at amazing prices, but worth every penny http://www.rivercafe.co.uk/

Great queen street – a restaurant, not a pub, but like a pub with great food (no website)

Paramount – the restaurant with the best view in London at the top of Centrepoint www.paramount.uk.net/

Hunan – a Chinese restaurant with a difference. The chef decides what you eat, cooks it and brings it until you say stop. The quality is absolutely fantastic www.hunanlondon.com/

Memories of China – Ken Lo who set this up was a family friend, he may have gone but this remains a classic Chinese restaurant in a class of its own http://www.atozrestaurants.com/kenlosmemoriesofchina/

Northbank  – Where else can you sit outside in the City overlooking the river. www.northbankrestaurant.com/

Royal China – probably the best dim sum restaurant in London, not as fun nor as authentic as the CCK but the quality is amazing http://www2.royalchinagroup.biz/

Gail’s Kitchen – great small plates of food. Mackerel rillettes and spinach rotolo were my favourites and the puddings sounded great, especially the ice cream sandwich, but was too much for lunch, so we just shared three freshly baked, hot cookies. http://www.gailskitchen.co.uk
